How does the Overnight a Check feature work?

If you need to get a payment to a recipient overnight (like for a past due bill), it’s the way to go. Simply enter the information needed and we’ll send the check via overnight courier for next bank business day delivery.

To Overnight a Check:

1. Sign in to ingdirect.com with your Customer Number or Saver ID and PIN
2. Click on the ‘Make Payments' tab
3. Select ‘Overnight a Check’
4. Enter the required information

How much does it cost to use the Overnight a Check feature?

The cost is $20 – about the cost to send an overnight package.

How much can I Overnight a Check for?

Overnight Checks are limited to $100,000.

What is the cut-off time to use the Overnight a Check feature?

You must submit your request on our website by 2 PM ET on a bank business day in order for us to process it for next business day delivery, (so if it’s Saturday or Sunday, it will be sent on Monday and arrive on Tuesday). And if you send a check on a federal holiday, the check will be sent the next bank business day and arrive on the second bank business day.
